Motorists have been told to avoid a stretch of the M25 as police deal with a “non-protest related incident”.
The M25 has been closed between junction 23 and junction 24 clockwise for a police incident, with heavy traffic reported in the area.
According to Google Maps, there is an hour and a half of delays for traffic on the road with queues stretching back as far as London Colney.

Just after 7.30pm today (May 31), Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “We are currently dealing with a non-protest related incident on the M25, with a closure in place between junction 23 and junction 24 clockwise.
“Drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
The entry slips at junction 24 and junction 25 are also closed for the “Hertfordshire police led incident” according to National Highways.
It adds that all four lanes are closed and the incident is expected to clear between 9.15pm and 9.30pm, though this is likely based on limited information and could vary.
Update: The road reopened at around 8pm. Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Drivers are thanked for their patience whilst we dealt with a non-protest related incident."
