Officers tweeted a picture yesterday (May 30) of the vehicle on the side of the road alongside a speed gun, saying: “This vehicle was spotted doing 94mph on the A41 in Hemel Hempstead.
“When stopped I found the 7-seater to be full of family members including an unrestrained baby on the rear passenger’s lap.
“Driver reported and suitable words of advice given.”
People commenting on the post branded the incident “insane”, with one adding: “The A41 is dangerous at 70. Unrestrained baby as well. I would hope at court they are banned for a good couple of years.”

Another said: “Irresponsible doesn’t cover that level of stupidity.”
“The law needs to change,” tweeted one man, adding: “The only way you will stop or dramatically reduce the number of offences like this is to remove the vehicle regardless of need, then crush it!
“No one apart from the totally foolish would risk playing with the police of people’s lives in this way ever again.”
