Watford General Hospital’s charity is encouraging people to fundraise by hosting a tea party.
The NHS Big Tea is being held across the country on July 5.
Money raised from the event will be used to provide extra support for patients, staff and volunteers in every UK hospital.
To sign up to host your own NHS Big Tea event and receive a fundraising support pack, please visit https://www.nhsbigtea.co.uk/find and add Raise (West Hertfordshire Hospitals Charity) in the search bar.
Raise – West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals Charity – is dedicated to supporting patient care at Hemel Hempstead, St Albans City and Watford General hospitals.
Emily Theobald, senior fundraising officer at Raise, said: “Please put July 5 in your diary and take some time out to get together with family and friends, share a cuppa and cake, and raise money for your local West Herts hospital.
“Because this year is so special, we want to make the NHS Big Tea an even bigger celebration.
“We look forward to seeing the nation coming together for this brilliant event.”

Now entering its sixth year, this summer’s NHS Big Tea celebration will be extra special as the NHS celebrates 75 years.
You can take part on July 5, the birthday of the NHS, or any day that week.
In the last couple of years nearly 7,000 members of the public have joined in with the NHS Big Tea, raising over £500,000 to support important NHS projects around the country.
Every penny raised for Raise will help support NHS staff and patients in West Herts Hospitals.
