Motorists were told to expect delays after a “large amount of concrete” spilled out onto a Watford Road.
Hertfordshire County Council confirmed its staff were clearing concrete from Stephenson Way, near the M1, after the large spillage shut off lane two before 7am this morning (May 25).
A council spokesperson said: “We are working to remove a large amount of concrete that was spilt on Stephenson Way.

“This is at the entrance to the A41 / M1 J5 roundabout (Berrygrove Interchange).
“Delays are expected and repair works are ongoing.”
At 10am the onsite team working to clear the road said they expected to be done by 11.30am and all lanes were later opened by that time.
"The road has been cleared and all lanes are now open," the incident report said.
"No further updates."
There were delays in the road this morning, due to the lane closure, but these have since cleared.
