Over £15,000 has been raised after an "amazing" mum of two died at the age of 37.
Kelly Stocker passed away on Friday, May 12, shortly after being unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer.
Kelly, mother to Chase and Blake and wife to her husband Paul, visited a doctor in April to complain of some pain and shortness of breath.
After undergoing blood tests, she was rushed into hospital where she was diagnosed with cancer.
Despite "fighting with everything she had", Kelly later passed away surrounded by her family.
Kelly, who worked at Bovingdon Pre-School, has been described as "an amazing parent" who "was the heart of the Bovingdon community".
A friend since nursery, Katie McGeary, told the Watford Observer: "She was a really dedicated mum, all she ever wanted was to have a family.
"She was really caring, quick-witted, funny."
A GoFundMe page has been started to raise money for funeral costs and to support Kelly's family.
Speaking of the reason for the page, Katie continued: "When it happened, obviously it was a huge shock to everyone.
"She was only diagnosed a few weeks before.
"So, there was no preparation in advance of it, the family weren't able to save money or prepare.
"We wanted to help raise as much money as we can."
Kelly's GoFundMe page reads: "Kelly will be immeasurably missed and many didn’t get to say goodbye as we lost her so suddenly.
"Friends and family had no inkling our time with her would be so short and that losing her would come so soon.
"Her family now face the unimaginable task of planning the farewell she deserves, and Paul also has to navigate these next steps without the love of his life by his side.
"Now we want to do what Kelly has done for so many others, but we need your support.
"We are asking for help to raise what we can to aid her family in their time of need."
So far £15,790 has been raised, eclipsing the family's £4,000 target.
