Plans to improve and refurbish playing fields, including a MUGA, tennis courts, a dog agility park, and a skate park have been given the green light.
With the proposal coming after public consultation and Three Rivers District Council decision making committee approval it might not have ever been in doubt, but work at South Oxhey Playing Fields was officially approved on May 19.
Ahead of the consultation, which asked the local community what they would like to see at the site, the council admitted it was in a "state of disrepair".
- Public asked for views on how to improve South Oxhey Playing Fields
- Sneak peek inside shop opening in atria Watford's former Joules unit
- The Langley Hall, Kings Langley, demolition under homes plan
Under the approved plan the new multi-use games area (MUGA) will replace the existing five-a-side football pitch, the existing tennis court will be refurbished, the new skate park will replace the existing one, and new facilities for dog training, table tennis, and chess will be added.
All paths at the site will be refurbished and a seating area will also be added.
