A former village hall could be demolished under new homes plans involving a listed building site.
The proposal was added to Dacorum Borough Council planning portal yesterday (May 18) and asks for permission to demolish 32 and 34 Waterside, Kings Langley, and build three terraced houses and an extension to the neighbouring Moat Cottage.
The Langley Hall at 34 Waterside was originally built as a village hall but has since been extended as a commercial site and subsequently boarded up.

Moat Cottage is part of a Grade II Listed building, although the part involved in the plan is mostly made up of 1970s additions.
The planning application says: “It is proposed to demolish the commercial units at 32-34 Waterside to provide an empty site for development to take place.”
Three two-bedroom, two-bathroom terraced homes would be built to replace it, alongside extra rooms for Moat Cottage.
The proposal is phase two of development at the site, with the first phase involving an extension to Moat Cottage that was completed in March.
A council assessment of the site described 32 Waterside as “a two-storey flat roof building, previously a commercial use but now vacant and boarded up”, and 34 as “a chalet-style building which runs the full depth of the site which is currently vacant and boarded up.”
