More details have emerged after a pedestrian died following a crash in Bedmond, near Abbots Langley.
The collision at around 12.35am on Sunday, May 14, involved a man from the Dacorum area, aged in his 70s, and happened in Bedmond Road near Church Hill.
Herts Police have confirmed a 52-year-old man from Bedfordshire was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remained at the scene, the force added.

The man has since been released on bail until July while enquiries continue.
Following the crash, Sergeant Nick Kane said: "Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this very difficult time.
“Enquiries are being carried out to establish the circumstances around the collision and, as part of this, we are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
“Did you see the collision, or the events leading up to it? Did you see anyone walking in the area or a black Vauxhall Astra travelling nearby?”
