A man who allegedly had a sharpened rock as a weapon will appear in court today charged with assaulting a child and police officer.
Jake Smith, of no fixed address, will appear in Stevenage Magistrates’ Court this afternoon (May 17) after an appearance in Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on May 12, for a second bail application.
He has denied all six charges including using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence towards a girl under 18 and a man, in Bushey.

The 23-year-old is also charged with assaulting the girl by beating her, and possessing an offensive weapon (the sharpened rock) at Bushey Train Station.
All the above charges relate to alleged offences on May 9, and then on May 10 it is alleged he assaulted a police officer by beating him in Watford and used racially aggravated threats or abuse against another police officer.
