Two patients have been taken to hospital after a crash near Watford town centre this afternoon.
Hertfordshire Constabulary have confirmed they were called out to the scene of a crash in Beechen Grove, near the junction with Albert Road, at around 12.25pm today (May 15).
Police officers arrived, alongside two ambulances, and closed the road as well as parts of the ring road.

It was reported that two vehicles were involved and two people from one of the vehicles were taken to Watford General Hospital by ambulance, to be further assessed and cared for.
Herts police added that the pair were taken to the hospital “as a precaution”.
The road closures are set to remain in place until the vehicles have been recovered. Police have asked motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternative route through the town centre during this time.
Update: Hertfordshire Constabulary has now confirmed that a third person was also taken to hospital, as a precaution.
They added that the road was reopened at around 3pm.
