A GP surgery is still facing “significant disruption” after being forced to close due to flooding.
Baldwins Lane Surgery in Croxley Green announced that it had a “major incident” yesterday morning (May 2) and would be unable to open due to lacked water and electricity.
The surgery’s phone lines now confirm that it remains closed “due to flooding” and add that “it is not known when we will open”.

- Coronation bin collection changes in Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere
- Warning issued to protect nesting mute swans and mandarin ducks
The building has lost four of its six clinical rooms while two admin rooms still had no phone or internet access as of yesterday afternoon.
Today, Baldwins Lane Surgery said that it is still trying to re-establish services and explained that it will call anyone who already has an appointment if there are any changes.
Doctors and nurses are working remotely at other local practices so they can keep seeing patients.
Patients can call 111, which is managing the surgery's calls, and prescriptions can be requested as normal although they have been asked to allow a day longer.
