A proposal to install outdoor gym equipment at a playing fields is among the applications submitted to Watford, Three Rivers, Hertsmere and Dacorum councils this week.

Three Rivers District Council wants to carry out the work at King George V Playing Fields in Shepherds Lane, Rickmansworth, and it has applied to the authority for a certificate of lawfulness proposed development, meaning planning permission would not be required under permitted development rights.

It is proposed seven pieces of equipment would be installed, including a dip bench, parallel bars and a sit up bench.
