Lidl has published its updated list of priority locations where new stores could be opened — including three in Watford.
After opening 50 new stores in 2022, including in South Oxhey, and 15 in the first three months of 2023, the supermarket is still eyeing more.
The places on the list, released this week, are described as “areas of interest to Lidl which are desirable for new stores” but are by no means a lock for an opening.

It features 78 locations classified as London North West including Watford (Garston), Watford (North), Watford (West/Croxley Green), Radlett, Abbots Langley, Northwood, and Rickmansworth.
Chorleywood and multiple Hemel Hempstead and St Albans locations also feature among 75 in the Northern Home Counties area.
Plans have already been submitted for a Lidl in Hunton Bridge, although Hertfordshire County Council has highlighted “fundamental issues” with that location.
The company is offering a finder’s fee for anyone, including members of the public, who successfully identify sites for new Lidl stores fitting its requirements.
