A Watford man will be running his eighteenth London Marathon tomorrow.
To date, Paul Sycamore, 54, has raised £35,000 for different charities when he took part in the previous 17 marathons.
This year, the customer service supervisor with London Underground, is running for Hertfordshire-based charity Willow that supports 16–40-year-olds who are newly diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
He has already raised £1,343 of his £2,000 target.

Paul, a married father of two, said: “Training was hard this year, but I will get round the course no problem, even if I have to crawl.”
Willow was founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper and TV presenter, Bob Wilson and his wife, Megs, as a lasting memorial to their daughter, Anna, who died of cancer aged 31.

Whilst a young person is dealing with the worry and stress of their illness, medication and hospital appointments, Willow is dedicated to helping those suffering to take some much-needed time out and to have a special experience, such as a day out or a personalised gift box.
Paul said: “This can only happen, by the generosity of people supporting this wonderful charity.
“Please help me to help others, no donation is too small. Every pound is precious. Thank you all for your support.”
