Former Watford mayor Baroness Dorothy Thornhill has been banned from driving after speeding in the town.
On March 23, St Albans Magistrates' Court found the 67-year-old guilty of speeding in Hempstead Road on July 10, 2022, and ordered her to pay £324.
She was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for six months, which was obligatory “due to repeat offending”, according to court documents. Her driving record was also endorsed with three points.

The Watford resident said she was “devastated”, adding that she takes the offence seriously and knows exactly how it happened.
Baroness Thornhill said: “Like thousands of other people I was rushing from A to B in Watford and was always doing under 40 miles per hour.
“I’ve got my bus pass and oiled down the bike, it will also be good business for Watford’s taxi companies.
“Its something you just have to take on the chin.”
She was recorded going at 37 miles per hour, exceeding the 30 miles per hour limit.
Motorists can be disqualified from driving if 12 or more points are built up within a three-year period.
