It is estimated that a home could be on the market for two to three months before it gets an offer.
But sometimes properties take longer to shift than expected.
There is one property in Watford that has been on the market for more than a year – currently Watford’s longest listing property.
The three/four-bedroom house in Woodford Road, was first listed on November 17, 2020, with Zoopla at £600,000.
But in October 2022, the price tag dropped to £550,000.
Advertised with Your Move, the house is spread over three floors.

The ground floor comprises of a kitchen come dining room that leads out onto a small Astro turfed garden accessed via sliding doors.
A shower room and WC are also on this floor with a room that could be used as a bedroom or another living space.
The second floor is home to a bedroom and lounge and the third floor has a further two bedrooms and shower room.
Despite being a stone’s throw away from Watford Junction Station and the buses, the house also comes with off street parking.
