The 12-year-old injured in a hit and run broke his ankle and leg, it has been revealed.
Police launched a fresh appeal for information today after the schoolboy was injured on the A405 North Orbital Road, near the junction with Horseshoe Lane.
Police confirmed the pedestrian also sustained significant bruising during the incident at around 3.10pm on Friday, March 24.
The vehicle, described as being grey in colour, continued travelling in the direction of the M1.
PC Lauren Maberly, who is investigating, said: “Thankfully the boy’s injuries are not life-threatening and he is continuing to recover.

“We’re currently making enquiries to trace the vehicle involved and the driver.
“As part of this, we’re appealing for anyone who saw the incident and hasn’t yet spoken to police to please come forward.”
PC Maberly also asked for people with dash cam footage to come forward.
After the crash, locals described the junction as “lethal”, “such a dangerous crossing”, and “scary”.
Despite call to improve safety at the site, Hertfordshire County Council said it does not have plans for any changes because only four injuries had been reported in five years, "which is low for such a busy junction”.
Information can be given to the police by calling 101 quoting ISR 436 of 24 March.
