A man charged with making dozens of indecent images of children and publishing an obscene article on Twitter is set to go on trial.
Matthew Seekings appeared in Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on March 24 and his case was sent to Birmingham Crown Court for trial, with his next appearance scheduled for April 21.
He allegedly possessed one category A indecent photograph of a child between January 1, 2017, and March 24, 2023, in Hertfordshire.

Category A refers to images involving penetrative sexual activity, sexual activity with an animal, or sadism.
All other charges are alleged to have taken place in Hertfordshire between the start of 2017 and the end of 2021.
Seekings, of Benjamin Road, Poole, Dorset, also allegedly made and possessed one category B pseudo-photograph of a child, meaning images involving non-penetrative sexual activity.
A pseudo-photograph is an image made by computer-graphics or otherwise which appears to be a photograph.

The 45-year-old is also charged with making and possessing 66 still pseudo-photographs and one moving pseudo-photograph of a child that fall within category C.
Category C covers any indecent image not falling within A or B.
He was also charged with publishing an obscene article via Twitter.
Seekings has been released on bail with conditions.
