A litterer from Watford had to pay £508 after leaving a cigarette on the ground in London.
Sharon Carter appeared in Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court, on March 15, charged with throwing down, leaving, or otherwise depositing a cigarette.
Carter, of St Paul’s Way, had left the rubbish outside a McDonald’s in The Broadway in Wimbledon on September 5 last year.

After the charge was proved, the 35-year-old had to pay a £220 fine, a victim services surcharge of £88, and costs of £200.
Also in court
Irina Li was also ordered to pay a £220 fine after she was found guilty of speeding in a Mercedes, in A1081 Airport Way, Luton.

Li, of Tudor Manor Gardens, Watford, had been driving at 65mph while the speed limit was 50 mph.
She also had to pay a £34 victim services surcharge and £625 in costs.
The 49-year-old had denied the charge during an appearance at Luton Magistrates' Court on March 20, but was found guilty on the same day.
