A video shows firefighters tackling a "terrifying" car fire that neighbours feared might cause an explosion.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service was called at 6.33pm last night (March 16) to reports of a car on fire in the car park at Purbeck House, Crusader Way, Watford.
By the time an engine from Watford Fire Station arrived the crew found the car “well alight”, but they were able to extinguish it with their hose reels without anyone being hurt.

It is believed the blaze was started accidentally.
A woman living nearby filmed the firefighters from her window and can be heard saying “oh my god” in the video.

She said: “The fire was terrifying, I was so afraid the car will blow up.
“I didn’t dare stay close to the window in case this happens.
“I could not sleep well last night and I’m still very shaken today. I have lived in Watford for 25 years and I never felt so unsafe.”
