Suspected rogue traders have been arrested after reports of a scam that saw a man in his late 60s pay out thousands.
On March 9 Hertfordshire Constabulary arrested two men after the traders had been working on a home in Romilly Drive, Carpenders Park.
They visited several times in relation to roof repairs and each time the level of work required and the cost of carrying it out increased.

The local officers added they are “pleased to say” the man's cash had been returned.
