Armed police, a helicopter and dogs unit flocked to North Watford after a van driver was allegedly threatened with a knife.
Hertfordshire Constabulary were told that two men were trying to force their way into a van to attack someone inside in Harvest End, Meriden, at around 6pm yesterday (March 13).
The knife sighting sparked the armed police response.

Officers scoured the area but neither the van or the suspects were traced, and no victims have come forward so far.

The force is still investigating and has asked anyone with information to call 101, quoting ISR 642 of Monday 13 March.
Locals reported being disturbed by the helicopter overhead around Meriden and concerned by the large armed police presence.
