The M1 was shut northbound between Brent Cross and Watford after reports that a person had "fallen from a bridge".
Herts Police were called to the motorway northbound between junctions 4 and 5 at around 9.45am this morning (March 14).

A spokesperson said: "It was reported that a person had fallen from a bridge.
"Emergency services are on scene and road closures are currently in place in both directions.
"Motorists are asked to please avoid the area and check the latest travel information before making any journeys."
The motorway was also shut southbound between junctions 5 and 4, before all closures were lifted by around 2pm.
The East of England Ambulance Service has been contacted regarding the condition of the person involved. Updates to follow.
