Work is progressing on fixing the sinkhole outside Watford General Hospital.
Pictures taken yesterday (March 13) showed a digger and sand on site as the hole is being filled in.
The recent pictures are markedly different from those taken in February 2023, which showed the area bare with little sign of repairs being carried out.
Work on the sinkhole and road renovations are expected to be completed by this spring after it first appeared last August.

It was caused by a leak from 1960s pipework and the West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust warned other instances are likely to occur due to an ageing infrastructure.

The two-meter long and half-metre deep hole has so far had the burst pipe fixed and the trust has said there are no signs of further subsidence.
Since it opened, diversions have been put in place for patients to access the car parks via Vicarage Road.
Access via Thomas Sawyer Way has not changed.
