Police have launched an appeal after an 18-year-old woman died after reportedly being hit by a vehicle on the M1.
Met Police detectives appealed to the public this afternoon (March 2) after a collision involving a pedestrian near the southbound entry slip road by junction 3.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 6.50pm on Tuesday, but despite their best efforts the woman was pronounced dead.
Her next of kin are aware and are being supported, a Met spokesperson said.

The Met was asked what vehicles were involved, whether all vehicles stayed at the scene, and whether anyone else was injured. The spokesperson said they currently could not answer the questions, adding enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash cam footage of moments leading up to it have been asked to call 101, quoting the reference 5695/28Feb.
The incident caused travel chaos into the following day as the southbound carriageway between junction 4 for Edgware and 1 for Brent Cross was closed.
