After his Audi hit 117mph on a motorway a Watford driver was ordered to pay £906.
A Pro Laser 4 speed gun showed Yaver Y Abbas drove south at over 100mph in the M1 in Barnet.
The 28-year-old has admitted that he had breached the 70mph limit at 10.03am on June 17, last year.

After entering his guilty plea at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on February 20, Abbas was fined £576 and ordered to pay costs and a surcharge for victim services totalling £330.
Abbas, of Churchfields Road, was given until today (February 27) to pay.

Also in court
Less than a month later, the same make of speed gun caught another Watford motorist, Ahmad Samadi, 23, driving at over 100mph on the M1 in Barnet.
The Wellington Road resident was ordered to pay £1,024 by Bromley Magistrates’ Court after a charge of speeding was proved on January 31.
The camera had recorded his Peugeot reaching 102mph on July 4, 2022
