A “long derelict” house is being repaired and could be back on the market soon.
The home in New Road, Croxley Green, had been left to deteriorate for years and became a source of complaints to Three Rivers District Council.
Council officers had tried to press for improvements to the condition of the property but were able to stop when it was set to be sold to a local builder.
Liberal Democrat Three Rivers councillor Paul Rainbow and campaigner Tom Smith had also been pushing for action and recently noticed work is underway to clear up.

Cllr Paul Rainbow said, "This is great news for residents. It's removed an eyesore and will get a much-needed family home back in use.

The district council had organised for work on the overgrown gardens in 2020 but they quickly deteriorated again.
The roof and the structure of the house became badly overgrown with ivy.
According to the Liberal Democrats, it is hoped the house will be on the market later this year, following the sale being completed this month.
