A Hertfordshire doctor accused of having a sexual relationship with a "vulnerable" patient has admitted to inappropriately prescribing them medication.
Dr Itrat Hazur Khan, who is based in the St Albans area, is thought to have been aware the patient (Patient B) was vulnerable during their alleged relationship, according to a misconduct report.
Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) hearings took place in April and December to establish the facts around the allegations and Dr Khan’s fitness to practice.

Another hearing has now begun, scheduled for between February 21 and March 3, after proceedings were adjourned in December having been part-heard.
The GP has now admitted, and the tribunal found it proved true, that he prescribed Patient B medication and accessed their medical records without a good reason.
The tribunal also features allegations that Dr Khan assaulted a woman – referred to as Ms A.
An MPTS statement reads: “The tribunal will continue to inquire into the allegation that, in or around August 2018, November 2018 and on 12 February 2019, Dr Khan assaulted Ms A."
