Two people have been arrested after £5,000 worth of cigarettes was stolen during a shop burglary.
Sansetive Food Centre in Market Street, Watford, was broken into via its back entrance yesterday (February 20) at around 11.30pm.
Those involved also damaged a number of security cameras and took around £300 in cash.
A vehicle was later stopped in the West Bromwich area by West Midlands Police just after 2.30am, following which two men were arrested. They remain in police custody.

Chief Inspector for Watford, Andy Wiseman, said: “Thanks to the quick work of our intervention officers and CCTV operators, we were able to identify a vehicle of interest, which was later stopped in another force area, and make swift arrests in connection with this burglary within hours of it being reported.
“The stolen items were seized and will be returned to the premises.”
