People from several faiths came together to pay their respects to the victims of Syria and Turkey’s earthquakes.
On Sunday, February 19, a prayer gathering was held by the Watford Interfaith Association (WIA) at the Peace Garden in Cassiobury Park.
During the event a minute's silence was held to remember the estimated 47,000 people who died.
WIA’s secretary Judith Bruni said: “Aga Dychton, deputy mayor, spoke very movingly and MP Dean Russell too.”
Also speaking was Abdool Esoof from the North Watford Mosque, who recited prayers.
Radha Mohan das, a member of the Krishna Consciousness movement, offered a prayer for peace.

And Rt Revd Jane Mainwaring, Bishop of Hertford, “spoke movingly of the compassion that all felt as she summed up on behalf of all Christians,” said Ms Bruni.
There were also members of the Jain and Baha'i communities, as well as many other faiths.
Vice chair of WIA, Yogesh Joshi, a Hindu, led the reciting of the International Prayer for Peace.
