Two people have been caught on CCTV trying car doors in Watford before someone reportedly got into a BMW.
Hertfordshire Constabulary were called at around 4.30am on Sunday (February 12) after two people were acting suspiciously around vehicles in the Tolpits Lane area.
It was reported that they were trying car doors, and doorbell footage shows them pulling on handles in Tolpits Lane at 4.14am.
A neighbour said police arrived at the scene quickly and the force confirmed they searched the area but no one was found.

They were then told that someone had got into a BMW parked nearby.
Police said they do not know yet whether anything was stolen from the car, but the Watford Observer understands the owner will report that a dashcam and loose change were taken.
A man in a grey hoodie was caught on a doorbell camera trying car doors outside the same home at 4.53am on October 31 last year.
Months earlier police revealed they found dozens of car doors unlocked when trying them during an operation in Watford.
They described the number as "shocking" and said it equated to one in every 16 vehicles tested.
