A list of safe, warm and welcoming spaces for adults and children has been released as the cost-of-living crisis continues.
Launched amidst growing worries about the impact of rising energy bills, particularly amongst the most vulnerable in the community, Watford is now home to 21 warm hubs across the town centre.
The list includes spaces at Watford Cycle Club, the Luther Blissett Hub and North Watford Library.
Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor said: “During these difficult times, it’s been great to see local businesses and community groups step up to provide safe and warm hubs for all.
“We now have a significant number of hubs dotted across the town so you’re never too far away from a space."
Watford Borough Council has said that everyone is welcome to a hub and no-one will be asked why they are visiting.
But the option for help or advice will be available at the hubs if needed.
Spaces can be visited as often as required and there is no need to book.
Visitors can stay for as long or as short a time necessary, but it is recommended that opening and closing times are checked.
The venues are open on various days and times, and people can attend as many as they choose.
Some of the hubs will serve hot drinks, snacks and have free wi-fi available.

And the council’s sports and leisure provider, Everyone Active, recently launched a new hub at Watford Woodside Leisure Centre.
The leisure centre will host soft play mini gym sessions for parents and toddlers at a cost of £3 per session. For people in receipt of Universal Credit the cost is free.
For those who are interested in some activities, board games, books and puzzles will be available for use at The Barn, 1 Watford House Lane in Watford.
Mr Taylor added: “We’re looking forward to extending our network and encourage organisations of all types to take advantage of the funding available to set up their own spaces.”
