A builder is “unable to provide for his family” after tools worth thousands were stolen from a van.
Hertfordshire constabulary confirmed the incident took place in Clarke Way, Watford, between 10pm on February 5 and 6.30am on February 6.
A woman shared on social media that it was her partner’s tools that had been taken.
She wrote: “Not only have they stolen all his tools and damaged his van, they’ve stopped him being able to work and provide for his family.
“What good is a builder without any tools.”
Police said it was reported that mainly Milwaukee branded tools were stolen from the van.
The exact value of the tools has not been revealed but police said it “is in the thousands rather than hundreds”.
If you have information on the incident, the reference number 41/10192/23 can be quoted to the police on 101.
