A man has died after concerns were raised for his welfare on the M25 this morning.
The motorway was shut between junction 20 for the A41 and 21 for the M1 at around 8am as emergency services were called to the scene.
This evening (February 2), a Herts Police spokesperson said: “Police were called shortly after 8.05am today to report concerns for the welfare of a man who had been found on the hard shoulder of the M25 clockwise, near junction 21a.
"Officers attended the scene along with the ambulance service.
“Sadly, the man, aged in his 30s, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
The motorway reopened shortly before 1pm.
