A clinically vulnerable woman from Watford has slammed Arriva over its “dirty, crusty and old” bus.
Harriet Mitchell said the 20 service looked "like it had gone through a river" after she picked it up in Clarendon Road on Tuesday, January 31.
The mother of one, who relies on the buses, added that due to her obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) she felt like she needed a bath immediately after getting home.
She told the Watford Observer: “The whole bus was covered in mud, inside and outside. You couldn’t see out the window.
“It was like it had gone through a river.”

Ms Mitchell, who had to use the service throughout the pandemic to take her child to school, said: “The buses were never Covid clean, and this worries me because I am clinically vulnerable.
“But it’s not just about me. There are older people and people with long Covid who have to use these buses too.”
An Arriva spokesperson said: "We can confirm that we are currently waiting for our bus wash to be repaired, this is being treated as a priority issue for the depot."
