A spate of motorcycle thefts in Watford over several days has resulted in police issuing crime prevention advice.
On January 3, between 8pm and 10am the following day, a red Honda was stolen before later being found damaged.
Then, on January 5, a silver Piaggio moped was nabbed from a garden between 7pm and 9.30pm, before a dark blue Piaggio scooter was stolen between 9.15pm and 9.20pm the next day.
A Honda motorcycle was taken in Loates Lane on January 7, between midnight and 8am, and a white Honda motorcycle was stolen in Gladstone Road between 10pm on January 9 and 6.40am the next day.
Key advice issued by police includes using a disc lock to secure the front brake disc, a chain lock through the back wheel, and covering the bike to prevent thieves who often “shop” for particular models. More advice is available on the Herts Police website.
