A Watford man has been jailed after admitting to multiple charges including burglary, theft, and criminal damage within three months.
James Young, of Exchange Road, was charged with burglary, bike theft, theft from a shop, criminal damage to a property valued under £5,000, and theft by finding between October 24 and December 30 last year.
The 42-year-old appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning (January 11) where he pleaded guilty.
The court sentenced him to 18 weeks in prison and ordered him to pay a £486.10 fine, as well as £85 costs and a £154 victim surcharge fee.
On October 24 he stole a a black Carerra Vegance bicycle that had been locked up in the High Street.

On November 21 he stole bottles of alcohol from a private stock room in TGI Fridays in the High Street.
The attempted theft charge and the theft and criminal damage charge, on November 29, involved a Ring doorbell in Gladstone Road.
Then, on December 30 he stole a bottle of aftershave from Next in the Atria Shopping Centre.
Also in court
Slobodan Joshev, of Queens Road, Watford, has denied possession of the class A drug methylamphetamine.
He appeared in Westminster Magistrates' Court on December 29, where he entered a plea of not guilty.
The 33-year-old is scheduled to appear next on February 15 for trial.
It is alleged that he had the drug in the Borough of Westminster on November 29, 2022.
