A 16-year-old from Watford has been charged with multiple robberies after a teenager was allegedly attacked near the town centre.
The victim, 14, was walking along Clarendon Road at 4.20pm on January 1 when he was approached by three males.
He was then reportedly attacked and threatened before his coat and bag were stolen.
Herts Police say the 16-year-old was arrested but two other males fled. Two 17-year-olds suspected to be involved were then later arrested.
The 17-year-olds have been released on bail as enquiries continue, while the 16-year-old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, was charged with robbery.
Following his arrest, he was also charged with two further counts of robbery in relation to two separate incidents in September and October 2022, and two counts of witness intimidation.
He appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 4, before being remanded in custody.
He is next due to appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 9.
