In the spirit of Christmas, a business hasn't reported a damaged plant despite CCTV but owners suggested a charity donation apology.
The Kitchen Croxley, in Croxley Green, posted a picture of the bay tree donated by Croxley Green Parish Council, after it was knocked over.
The tree had apparently been damaged at 2.15am this morning (December 24).
In a Facebook post co-owner Linda Anderson said: “As it’s Christmas we’re not going to report this. But if it was you, perhaps you’d like to make a donation to a charity by way of apology?
“And yes, we do have you and your hoodie on CCTV in case you’re wondering how we know it wasn’t a wild animal”.
She added: “We just feel very sad that someone felt the need to do this”.
