A man was allegedly struck in the face with a glass during a fight at a Watford bar.
It happened at tapas and cocktail venue Marcel’s in The Parade at around 11.30pm on Saturday, December 10.
An argument reportedly broke out between two males in the bar area, during which one of them was allegedly struck in the face with a glass – sustaining a deep cut.
A 31-year-old man from Harrow has been arrested in connection with the incident, on suspicion of assault GBH (grievous bodily harm), police said.
Today (December 19), Detective Constable Ian Blackledge, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing at this time, including a review of CCTV. As part of our investigation, we’d also like to hear from witnesses who were at the location and saw what happened, or events prior to it.
“If you can help, please get in touch.”
Marcel's, which opened in November 2021, dubs itself "the new jewel of Watford" on its website and encourages visitors to "dress to the nines and immerse yourself in a decadent Gatsby-inspired world".
