The busiest and quietest times of the week for Watford General Hospital’s A&E have been revealed.
NHS Digital figures show that the worst time to visit A&E at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust was in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Between 3am and 4am on Sundays, patients waited an average of six hours and eight minutes to be either admitted to an inpatient ward, transferred elsewhere, or discharged from hospital.

Meanwhile, the shortest waits were between 8am and 9am on Fridays, when patients waited an average of two hours and 22 minutes.
Monday was the worst day overall to visit, with patients waiting an average of four hours and eight minutes.
People visiting on Saturdays experienced the shortest waits as the average time dropped to three hours and 38 minutes.
The data, published last month for the year up to March, comes as parents have told the Watford Observer of waits of up to eight hours to have their children seen at A&E.
