A man in his 50s has died following an incident on a major road.
Emergency services were called to the A414 North Orbital Road, near St Albans, at 12.30pm yesterday (December 12) to concerns for the welfare of a man.
He was reportedly in a vehicle parked in a layby.
This morning, a Herts Police spokesperson said: “Officers and the East of England Ambulance Service attended.
“Sadly the man was pronounced as deceased at the scene.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner. His next of kin have been informed.”
Road closures were in place while emergency services were at the scene before they were lifted at around 4.40pm.
Samaritans can be contacted for free 24/7 by calling 116123. More details can be found on its website.
