They are part of the Hart Homes venture, which was set up by Watford Community Housing (WCH) and Watford Borough Council to deliver around 500 local homes over six years.

The borough's mayor Peter Taylor said: “These homes will make a wonderful addition to Watford.

“They are well designed, come ready for modern living with electric charging points and most importantly will provide affordable rent as well as affordable ownership.”

The homes include balconies, parking spaces, electric vehicle charging points, gardens and bicycle storage.

The 86-home development, completed by Rickmansworth-based contractor Bugler Developments, is stage two of three of construction at Croxley View.

The final part is currently early in the planning permission process.
