A man required hospital treatment after reportedly being attacked by three men with weapons in Watford.
Moor View has been cordoned off for most of the day (December 6) after a man in his 30s was assaulted outside a property just after 1am.
Herts Police initially said the attackers were armed with weapons before confirming "a baseball bat" was allegedly used.

The victim is not in a life-threatening condition, they added, but declined to confirm what injuries he sustained due to "ongoing enquiries".
It is also unclear if the victim and attackers knew each other.
Police were knocking on the doors of nearby houses at around 8am to make enquiries, with locals photographing officers at the scene.
Forensics officers also appear to have been present with some reportedly photographing items on the floor.
The force confirmed enquiries are continuing and urged anyone who may have seen or heard anything to contact 101 quoting ISR 20 of 6 December.
