A family have thanked a personal trainer who gifted their daughter 12 months' membership to help her back to fitness after a double lung transplant.
Abbie Best, 22, received a double lung transplant in July 2021, and when she returned home the family received “so many kind messages” from the Kings Langley community.
Dad, Bob Best, explained one “unbelievable gesture” blew the family away as Steve Muggridge from Inspired Health and Fitness’ gave Abbie a year of personal training for free.

Bob said: “We were just told whenever she’s ready he would give her the free membership.
“Now she’s got her life back and it’s doing her a lot of good.”
Steve said: “I sort of knew Bob, who was a member a few years ago but he’s always doing everything to help the village. He’s Mr Kings Langley.
“Bob Best does everything for everyone else. When I heard what Abbie was going through… I’ve got a nine-year-old daughter myself and you sort of put yourself in those parents’ shoes.
“I was more than willing to help.”
Last week Abbie started at the gym, in Hempstead Road, which she “absolutely loves”.
The personal trainer, 38, added: “She’s done four or five sessions and done really well. She has picked up everything about the gym really quickly and is already making some gains.
“We’re taking it slow and steady, its more of a recovery process.”
“We’re absolutely proud. The trainers and other members have said every time she comes in she has a smile on her face so were really glad to have her as part of the inspire community.”
Bob also shared a message from the family on Facebook.
“As a family we are all so appreciative of your kind gesture Steve.
“What a lovely thing to do. Merry Christmas mate and thank you from all of us.”
The “small studio” at Inspired works with people who don’t want to train at conventional gyms, particularly those in need of extra support with exercise during rehabilitation.
The family also thanked Nikki Avron at Encore Pilates, where Abbie started her journey back to full fitness.
