More details about plans for a reservoir's future are set to be revealed at a public consultation.
It is being held by the private owners of Aldenham Reservoir in Elstree at the beginning of December.
After two years of draining, owner Jewel of Hertsmere plans to make repairs to the dam wall that will allow water levels to be restored.

Having been accused of causing “systemic destruction” of the reservoir by Hertsmere Borough Council members, the owner hopes to fund repairs with an employment scheme on green belt land it owns near the site.
A consultation event will be held at Allum Manor in Allum Lane between 2pm and 7.30pm on Thursday December 1.
Organisers say: “At the event attendees will be able to see how plans to provide new employment space, repair the dam, restore water levels and enable public access once again are being progressed.”
