A petrol station is set to shut for up to two years for a major refurbishment.
The Shell garage at The Dome roundabout in Watford will close on December 10.
The fuel tanks are being replaced and the full site rebuild will also include a new shop, forecourt, canopy and electric vehicle charging points.

Shell says the development will take up to two years but is aiming to complete it as quickly as possible.
The garage is one of three petrol stations by the roundabout – Sainsbury’s and Asda also have forecourts.

Earlier this week, the Watford Observer reported that the Little Waitrose convenience store at the Shell petrol station will also be shutting on December 10.
It was initially reported by a Waitrose spokesperson on Twitter that the store was closing because of “challenging” trading conditions.
However, Waitrose has since confirmed the closure is due to the wider development of the Shell garage.
The spokesperson added: “We will continue to remain in contact with Shell to understand more about their plans for the site once works are nearing completion. We still have a number of years left on our lease.”
