Beechen Grove was closed between the junctions of the ring road and Albert Road South while the incident was ongoing.
The closure caused ring road delays with queues tailing back towards the Lower High Street junction. Upton Road and Rosslyn Road were also affected.
A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Police were called at just before 8.40am today (Tuesday November 15) to report a single-vehicle road traffic collision on Beechen Grove, Watford.
“A black Mercedes was involved and the road was closed while recovery took place.
“No injuries were reported. The road re-opened around 10am.”
