A mini supermarket on a petrol station forecourt will close permanently next month.
The Little Waitrose store at the Shell petrol station by The Dome roundabout in Watford will close on December 10.
A notice has been placed outside and a spokesperson confirmed the closure to the Observer.
Waitrose said the shop is closing because the forecourt is being refurbished and the shop would not be able to be open for two years.
The spokesperson added Waitrose still has a "number of years" on its lease.
They added: "We continue to remain in contact with Shell to understand more about their plans for the site once works are nearing completion."

There are more than 40 Little Waitrose stores at Shell forecourts nationwide, with The Dome's shop open 24 hours a day.
The Observer has contacted Shell for more details about the refurbishment of the forecourt.
This is Watford’s only Waitrose store after the closure of John Lewis at atria Watford, which had a Waitrose inside.
The company’s closest large branch is in Rickmansworth.
