A man has died after a scooter crashed into a lamp post – sparking a police appeal for information.
The collision involved a black Piaggio scooter in Little Bushey Lane, Bushey, at around 7pm yesterday (November 3).
The rider, a man in his 30s, has died and police closed the stretch yesterday evening between the junctions of Aldenham Road and Sandy Lane. It reopened at around 11pm.
Confirming the death this afternoon, Detective Constable Felicity Moody said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this tragic time, and we are doing everything we can to support them.

“Inquiries are ongoing at this time and therefore, I am appealing for anyone who saw the vehicle shortly before the collision or saw the incident itself to please get in touch.”
She urged anyone driving in the area to check their dash cams and report any information by emailing felicity.moody@herts.police.uk.
